The mama and the papa.

I'm working on slipcovers for a pair of wing chairs that are definitely a pair, but at the same time are slightly different. The client calls them the mama chair and the papa chair. The mama has a little more curviness. I am covering them in a big check fabric. I have learned from past experience that if I don't cut the pieces out in the right order, the checks (or plaids) won't line up, usually in some noticeable place on the chair.

I went to the Internet to seek help with this, but found nothing. I thought of e-mailing Angie (the Slipcover Diva), but being the impatient person that I am, I asked the only one around who I thought could help me.

But Max just looked up from his studies and shook his head from side to side.

So, this is what I came up with. I'll let you know how it turns out.

How you do any of that slipcover thing just seems like magic to me. I am in awe!
