Inspiration.
Just found a great magazine and blog called SMALL and SMALLER.
Very cute and inspiring for all who have children in their lives.

Transformed.
I think my two favorite things about making slipcovers are seeing a piece of furniture transfomed, and turning a client's vision into reality. This chair (there were actually two of them) is a perfect example.
The client bought the chairs at a yardsale and was going to paint them and maybe have them upholstered, but got inspired when she thought about white linen.
This picture was taken in the middle of my living room, but they look really nice in her French country inspired house.

Time to put down the teacup and get busy.
I haven't had much slipcover work to do for about a month and have been having lots of fun making things for my ETSY shop, but the sewing jobs are flowing in lately and keeping me pretty busy.
This is my latest creation...a teacup pincushion with a hidden compartment to keep your emergency sewing supplies.
My first sale from my shop is a custom ribbon flower grouping. The customer requested flowers in her wedding colors to go on the pillow that she already has. I am hoping to do more pillows with some other styles of ribbon flowers. I've always enjoyed making them.
