I just finished a couple of fun projects. A desk chair to make someone’s work more fun and a chair for new and expectant moms to rest in at a midwife’s office. Here they sit at my doorstep waiting for a ride home.
The slipcover for the bigger chair was really fun to do. The client found a vintage slipcover made of beautiful bark cloth for a taller, narrower wing chair and I took it apart and moved some parts around to make it work. I had to purchase a contrasting fabric for the back, but added buttons covered in the bark cloth.
They are both safely home now. I will miss them.

LOVE that barkcloth. Amazing.
There are great. I love barkcloth, I just wish I could convince myself to cut some of mine and start sewing. I think the desk chair is adorable and would make any work day go better.
Great looking slipcovers. I LOVE the mini knife pleats!!!
Great job KT. Miss seeing you around blog world. Hope all is going good.
Wow. You did such a wonderful job on that chair! It makes me want to get going on my slipcover project.
I also want to say that your bunny makes me smile. I'm an artist and make and design dolls.
The barkcloth reminds me of the early 1960's furniture covers. My Mom was big on slipcovers and we had a chair that was covered like that for a few years. Then it was red and then it was covered again and off to a relative's house. It is still around at my cousins daughters house.
Back then there was a woman in every neighborhood that made slipcovers.
Love your work!
