O Christmas Card, O Christmas Card........

For years one of my favorite things to do was to make our own Christmas cards.

Sometimes the kids got involved. Here is some of Raya's artwork:

This one was made on my Gocco printer:

My Gocco prints from the 80's were not as inventive as the ones I see today. I don't remember where I found my printer, and had to stop using it because replacement materials weren't available.

This fold-up ornament card was adapted from one I saw in Sunset Magazine. I think theirs was a house.

A paper doll that I made to sell at a craft fair:

After my sewing business took off, doing anything before Christmas became next to impossible, especially when the kids were small. This year I have been busy with my business, but manageably busy. When a young woman I know hosted a holiday craft night, I got excited about doing a card again. I haven't done much drawing in a while, so I decided to use scissors and glue. Here's a peek:

The tree still hasn't been decorated. Hopefully tonight.

Love all the cards and the drawings! We have yet to do our tree too--this weekend. Have started a little decorating round the house and baking, so that's something--LOL! Happy Days ((HUGS))

Katie, I am at that place in my business where I can't even think about signing cards, much less making them. Eek!! Yours of years past are glkorious... and I am holding you as an inspiration that someday again there will be time. I will learn to juggle more swiftly, more smoothly.

But not this year.

What a walk down memory lane. I don't necessarily remember drawing these, but I do remember them from being around the house. How funny is it that now I'm making Christmas cards on MY Gocco. It's all come full circle : )
